Personal Biography Manuel Vermeire, born in Chiusdino (Siena) on 12/07/1987, has completed his arts study at the Istituto d'Arte Duccio di Buoninsegna in Siena by obtaining the Maturità Artistica in july 2007. He is improving his skills in the various artistic graphic techniques at Il Bisonte, a specialized institute in Firenze: www.ilbisonte.it; he started off in januari 2008 and for a full year he will follow a very intensive training course known as the Qualifica Professionale.So far he has obtained excellent results in etching and mezzotint engraving. Previously he has devoted himself to pencil drawings and woodcut engraving. A number of his woodcut prints were commissioned for use as an ex-libris. Since february 2009 he is a member of the Cork Printmakers of Cork, Ireland. |
